Sonic Design - exercise

PROJECT 1: AUDIO FUNDAMENTALS
Students are given a series of exercises that develop their sound design sensibilities by increasing their technical proficiency and knowledge. Students will be given several tasks to analyze and manipulate sound properties through the use of sound editing software to fit a desired scenario.

We were given audios that we needed to equalise:
  • Flat
  • Eq 1
  • Eq 2
  • Eq 3
  • Eq 4
  • Eq 5
  • Eq 6 
  • Filter 1
  • Filter 2
This is the sound of flat



   
eq 1, turned up the 2nd to match the sound 



eq 2 sound soft so i raised the 3rd to match 



eq 3 the overall sound was low so i raised the middle part to make it louder



eq 4 the right side was soft so i raised it 



eq 5 raise the last part 




eq 6, i lowered some parts and raised the front part to equalise the sounds.




filter 1, i decided to raise 3 and 5 and slightly adjusted 4




filter 2, i raised 1 and lowered 5 and right.

Exercise - 2 sound shaping


We edited the voice sound to make it sound like phone call and walkie talkie.

For this exercise, we were tasked to create the environmental sounds of the pictures given by our lecturer.
